About This Activity
In First Lego League Explore, teams of students ages 6-10 (or 2-4 grade) focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, and code and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE Essential. Team members will meet weekly from Saturday, June 6th to January 23rd (there are five Saturdays we do not meet and a couple extra practices to be coordinated in December/January as we get close to competition). In January we will First Lego League Explore festival to present their work at ASU which parents/family/siblings are encouraged to attend (on a Saturday - dates are not yet released). First Lego League gives elementary school students the opportunity to work and create together to solve a common problem. The really cool thing about FIRST LEGO League is...all skill levels are welcomed and needed, technical or non-technical. Adult coaches guide students as they gain skills and confidence in a supportive, inclusive environment.
