First LEGO League Challenge is an exciting, hands on STEM program that inspires kids to explore science, technology, engineering, and teamwork through fun and meaningful challenges. Working in small teams, students design, build, and program LEGO robots to complete missions on a themed game field while also researching real world problems and creating innovative solutions. Along the way, participants develop valuable skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and public speaking in a supportive, encouraging environment. Through friendly tournaments and presentations, team members gain confidence, learn to communicate their ideas, and discover how learning STEM can be both fun and empowering—making First LEGO League a rewarding experience for the team. Team members will meet weekly from Wednesday, June 10th to January 20th (with several breaks - 3 Wednesdays have no classes but we will work with the team to schedule 1-2 extra practices in Dec and Jan as we prepare for competition). In January, our team will attend First Lego League Challenge competition at ASU (on a Saturday - dates are not yet released). The competition will be a full day and parents are invited but not required to attend (we will have a coach and assistant coach to support the team at competition).
