About This Activity
This Community Camp Day, we are learning all about a crab that is scary fast - the ghost crab! These speedy little creatures are the fastest terrestrial crab, reaching speeds of up to 10 MPH. With their ghastly white appearance and their lightning-fast legs, it’s easy to see why they got their name. We’ll search for signs of their burrows, where they can quickly vanish from sight, compete in some spooky crab races, and learn all about their nocturnal adaptations that help them thrive in the dark. So make sure you bring your best ghost-hunting gear because the day will be filled with adventures in search of these phantom-like creatures!
