About This Activity
We're proud to share that SCCF has taken on the mission of The International Osprey Foundation. Through this transfer, SCCF will continue nest monitoring, nesting habitat restoration, and volunteer coordination. And to celebrate, we've decided to host a Community Camp Day focused on these amazing birds of prey. Osprey, also known as sea or fish hawks, are gorgeous brown and white raptors that swoop and soar and dive for fish along the beach. And better yet, this camp will take place during peak breeding season! So grab your binoculars because we'll be scanning the skies in a birding bonanza! We'll find some nests and hopefully spot some hatchlings. We'll learn what it takes to protect this amazing species and how they're a strong representative of successful conservation efforts. There will be games, there will be art, and of course, plenty of time to splash in the Gulf. We hope to see you there!
