About This Activity
This Coding Summer Camp is developed to give hands-on experiences in game development and algorithms. The campers will design, develop, and code their own computer game using block coding platforms of their choice in the first two days. The campers will have the option to publish their game in platform of their choice such as Web, iPhone, iPad, Win or Mac! The remaining three days will be used to gain skills in text programming language of students’ choice, Python or Java, with text-based inputs, conditional statements (if-else), iteration (for and while loops). The campers will also engage in coding Arduino controllers to program traffic circuits and read sensor data. The students who have prior experience is coding will have opportunities to further their coding skills by doing labs in data science, robotics, and electronics.
