“Elementary, My Dear Watson”! Be Sherlock Holmes for the week and use forensics skills to solve real crime cases, including one “cold case” dating back to 1842. This camp is guaranteed to enhance problem solving and critical thinking skills as campers play out the role of investigators, witnesses, and suspects, evaluate crime scene evidence and draw conclusions based on their findings. They will learn about hair and fingerprint analysis, DNA tests and blood typing, discover how luminal and UV light are used at a crime scene, and complete a drug and poison analysis. To add to the intrigue, campers work with FACES facial reconstruction software that can detect, identify, and analyze human faces and facial features. Campers can recreate themselves or their favorite literary character. This is the same software the television program America’s Most Wanted uses to create composite pictures of suspects and victims!
