About This Activity
Turn a simple block of clay into an amazing piece of 3D artwork and sculpture! Students create small scale whimsical animals, pots, miniature scenes, medallions, murals, mosaics and more. Learn the basics of working with polymer clay: conditioning, shaping, using sculpture tools and cutters, blending colors, and baking your masterpieces. Discover techniques like canning, pinching, coiling, marbling, bargello, casting, and mica shift. Experiment with texture designs, image transfers, stamps, molds, relief sculpture, and embellish with glazes and powders. New Projects each session!
