In this camp, boys and girls will learn the concepts of robot and mechanical design technology through robot building and assembly, soldering circuits, and constructing gadgets and gizmos. The skills learned such as crafting, wiring, mechanical assembly, soldering, and problem solving will allow campers to go on to more sophisticated robot creation. Campers will: • Build the CyberCrawler Robot’s smart coding kit. Using the technology on-board, challenge several levels of thinking skills: simple and basic (forward, backward, left turn, and right turn) with each command powering the robot for timed intervals. Use mathematical time measurement distance coding methodology to travel from point A to B. Graduating to the next level, apply advanced reasoning skills by designing obstacles or maze courses. With a capacity of 64 tasks, CyberCrawler teaches the joy of coding. • Build Eco.6, a TOTALLY green fun project kit powered by natural light. Create a walking robot, street roller, bottle yacht, drummer robot or flying bird. Build and play in an eco-friendly way using recycled materials and solar energy. • Learn to solder the LED Robot Blinker • Design independent electronic projects with Cubelets and “lil Bits The CyberCrawler Robot, Eco.6, and Robot Blinker all go home with the camper at the end of the week.
