About This Activity
Entry-level robotics and programming. Campers will build and code imaginative robots inspired by real-world engineering challenges and the incredible inventions of nature. Using LEGO, KEVA, and K’NEX bricks and blocks, campers will design a bot to assist persons with limited abilities, create a rover to explore space, and construct motorized structures like a Ferris wheel and carousel to create an amusement park. They will engineer animals and insects such as a turtle that hides when danger is near, a scorpion that strikes when it senses movement, a charming gorilla that loves bananas and a Venus flytrap that snaps shut. Campers discover how real animals move, hunt, protect themselves, and adapt. Our young Imagineers progress through creative challenges that encourage problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. With endless ways to build, code and imagine, every day is a new adventure!
