CASAS reading goals score of 210 or above recommended. ----> COST: $75.00 - includes Part 1: Healthcare Basics and Part 2: Bridge to Healthcare ----> PART 1: Healthcare Basics In this EnGen online course, students will explore healthcare occupations while identifying personal career goals and work strategies to be successful in a health career. Students will be using computers to learn and study each week. We will cover topics such as key vocabulary used to communicate with professionals and patients, body systems, infection control, safety, and patient’s rights. Instructor: Rekha Prasad Dates: Wednesdays, January 28th - March 25th, 5:30 - 8:00 PM ----> PART 2: Bridge to Healthcare This class is recommended for those wishing to become a CNA or other training but haven’t met tthe required score of 235 or above to be enrolled. We will focus on medical vocabulary, computer and workplace skills, communication skills, reading and test taking strategies for students wishing to increase CASAS reading skills for admission to further health occupations classes.
