Description
Culinary Arts is designed to be a cooking and kitchen management class for high school students. This plant-based and nutrition class emphasis on healthy eating, cooking and learning the fundamentals of culinary. It is a great choice for students with an interest in a food industry career, or for understanding the many great benefits of cooking.
Cindy Lepore Hart has over 25 years professional cooking experience. She is an educator, organic gardener, chef and nutritionist, and author of two cookbooks as well as an online gardening and cooking blog: www.CindysGardenToTable.com
Come learn new cooking and knife skills. From the beginner to the more advanced, all are welcome. Learn recipes and skills that you can use later at home, or see if cooking is a career goal for you.
Dates: Tuesdays, September 30th - November 11th, 2025Time: 1:00-4:00pmCost: $350 resident/ $412 non-residentAges: 14-18Location: Scotts Valley Community Center (360 Kings Village Rd.)Instructor: Cindy Lepore HartWhat to Bring: Please wear closed-toe shoes, pull long hair back, and bring a water bottle to class. $50 materials fee due to the instructor at the first class.
Camp/Class Cancellation & Refund Policy: Cancellations made 14 or more days prior to the camp start date will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before the camp start date are non-refundable.
No refunds will be issued for missed camp days due to illness, schedule conflicts, or other personal reasons or if a camper is asked to leave camp. In the event that Scotts Valley Recreation cancels a camp, a full refund will be provided.
