About This Activity
3D printing is quickly becoming a mainstream technology though it has been around since the 1980’s. This 3-hour beginner class will include an in-depth exploration on how to make quality prints, how to model using 3D modeling software, and practical applications for 3D printing. Students will be introduced to different 3D software options. As part of the class, students will design and print a small charm using a fused filament fabrication printer. Laptops* are required so please bring your own. *Please no Chromebooks. This type of laptop is not compatible with the software options used in this class.
