The Scottsdale Ranch Park Junior Tennis Program provides a fun, structured, and progressive pathway for players of all ages and abilities—from beginners starting for the first time to tournament competitors pursuing higher goals. The program is designed around age-appropriate equipment and court sizes while following the USTA’s youth development philosophy, helping every player build confidence, athleticism, and passion for the sport.

Our pathway includes:

Red Ball (Ages 5–8): Introduces fundamental movement, rallying, serving, and scoring through engaging games and activities.

Orange Ball (Ages 8–10): Develops consistency, court awareness, and basic tactical skills while introducing friendly competition.

Green Ball (Ages 10–12): Builds advanced rally skills, point construction, and match play to prepare players for yellow-ball tennis.

Yellow Ball (Ages 13–18): Offers beginner, intermediate, advanced, and high-performance training focused on technical development, tactical decision-making, physical fitness, and mental toughness.

Players progress through a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes:

Technical stroke development

Tactical awareness and decision-making

Athletic development and footwork

Sportsmanship and core values

Match play and competition

Goal setting and personal growth

Whether a player’s goal is to enjoy tennis recreationally, compete for their school team, or pursue tournament success, our experienced coaching staff provides a positive learning environment where every athlete can develop at their own pace while being challenged to reach their full potential.

At Scottsdale Ranch Park Tennis Center, we believe tennis is more than learning strokes—it’s about building confidence, resilience, discipline, and a passion for the game that it’s played for a life time.
