About This Activity
Ages 8-11 (No experience necessary.) Junior Explorers, aimed at kids aged 8-11, is a vibrant part of our diverse sailing and water activity offerings at Lake Washington. This camp incorporates catamarans, kayaks, and SUPs into its curriculum. While basic sailing techniques are a component of the camp, the main focus is on adventure and exploration. On days when the wind doesn’t cooperate for sailing, kayaks and paddleboards offer a fantastic alternative, keeping the excitement and interaction with the water alive. Junior Explorers is all about creating a fun, sun-filled environment that nurtures a young person’s love for outdoor water activities. Camps are taught primarily on the Hobie Wave with 3-4 campers per boat. Kayaks and paddleboards used when wind is not optimal.
