About This Activity
Ages 12-17 (Prerequisite: Teen Beginner or equivalent.) For sailors confident in the skills taught in Teen Beginner, this camp introduces new skills in a fun and challenging double-handed boat, the Flying Junior (FJ). These boats are common throughout the United States as one of the foundational platforms for youth sailing and racing! Sailors will build confidence sailing upwind and downwind in medium breeze, and develop the strong boat-handling skills that become necessary in a higher performance dinghy.
