Learning KotoA Japanese Language and Culture Workshop
Dates: July 21 - 23, 2025
Times: Daily 9am to 12pm

- Beginner's Class: Ages 6 - 11
- Intermediate Class: Ages 12 - 16
Tuition: $199
Class Description:Participants will learn how to play the Japanese traditional instrument, koto. They will be able to play basic traditional and contemporary pieces on Koto and how to read koto sheet music by learning numbers in Kanji.
Participants will also learn how to say basic Japanese greetings, how to have simple conversations, and how to write and read the basic Japanese alphabet. They will learn all this with provided authentic materials, and through the songs they play on Koto.
Participants will perform a short recital on the last day of class, family and friends are invited to join us on Wednesday, July 23rd at 11:30am to hear the program and celebrate our participants.

Notes: Parent involvement is not compulsory.Students will need to bring own snacks and water bottle. (No peanut products please.)
