Join us for an engaging and supportive Community Vocal Masterclass Workshop, designed to help singers reach their goals through collective learning. This class is beneficial to singers with a variety of goals. It offers:
- A chance to build community and be inspired by fellow vocalists
- A low-stakes environment to practice live performance skills -Structured opportunities to develop your critical ear and vocal problem-solving abilities
- Weekly accountability for singers looking to develop better consistency in their at-home practice
- More opportunities to sing whether or not you are currently taking private lessons
Over the course of the workshop, each participant will be assigned multiple opportunities to perform a prepared piece in front of a small group of fellow singers. Performances are followed by personalized feedback from the teacher, focusing on vocal technique, musical interpretation, and performance presence.
Participants will then be encouraged to offer their own constructive critiques, developing their ear and critical thinking skills as they observe their peers. This collaborative approach deepens understanding and empowers singers to diagnose and address vocal challenges in themselves and others.
Come ready to sing, listen, and support! All levels welcome. Performers should arrive at 3:00 pm for 10-minute warm up and listeners will be invited in at 3:10 pm. Class will last 30 - 50 minutes depending on the number of performers.
