Instructor: Rachel NesvigWho Can Join: String Players (violin, viola & cello) who can play Twinkle or above in the Suzuki Method, up to age 17
Workshop Details:
Participants will learn one or two simple Norwegian folk tunes by ear.Rachel will play short phrases and fiddlers will play back until theyhave it. We will add more and more pieces until we have a full tune!Optional harmonies or bass lines might be added. Rachel will alsoteach some traditional Norwegian ornamentation. She will also give amini concert featuring the Hardanger Fiddle, the National Folkinstrument of Norway.

Materials Needed: Participants should bring their instruments. You may bring a phone or other recording device to take videos during the workshop.
