About This Activity
Our Foundations class is for beginners with no previous music experience. We’ll teach you what you need to know about your instrument of choice in this awesome year long class. You will be learning the basics and playing songs within weeks! Please note this a three-quarter class, and to get the best experience, we strongly encourage students to participate for the enitre year. PROGRAM DETAILS Dates: - Fall Quarter: October 7th, 2023 - December 16th, 2023 - Winter Quarter: January 13th, 2024-March 23rd, 2023 - Spring Quarter: March 30th, 2024-June 8th 2024 Day/Time: Saturdays @ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Location: Seattle JazzED (380 Boren Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109) Instruments Offered: flute, clarinet, sax, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass, drums, violin, and cello INSTRUMENT SELECTION PROCESS In order to be able to participate in our Foundations class, each new and incoming student is required to attend Meet Your Instrument Day on the first day of class, October 7th from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. This is a mandatory event for all program participants unless they attended our Summer Jazz Foundations Camp prior. We will send a reminder email closer to the event.
