Dive into the dance techniques of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Contemporary in Seattle Prep's Summer Dance Camp! Each day students will explore the history and aesthetic of a different style. The dance sampler helps students unlock new movement patterns and experience a variety of dances. As an entry point to dance, it can help students understand which style they enjoy the most. For experienced dancers, they'll have the opportunity to connect with their peers and gain a deeper understanding of each style. A week of joyous dancing for all! Day One: Ballet Day Two: Tap Day Three: Jazz Day Four: Contemporary/Choreography Clothing must be suitable for movement (able to stretch) and abide by the Seattle Prep dress code. Socks or bare feet will be sufficient for Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary. Clean athletic shoes required for Tap lesson. If students already own dance shoes associated with each style, they are welcome to bring them. Eva Crystal is a Dance Teacher at Seattle Prep.
