About This Activity
Architecture is the art and technique of designing structures that support humans, cultures, and communities. Unlike paintings (art you look at) or sculpture (art you walk around), architecture is art you walk through creating a total immersive experience. In this course we will celebrate our different cultures and backgrounds by designing restaurants. Restaurants are an example of these immersive experiences that architecture can create; we can control the way people move through our space, the lighting, seating, colors, smells, acoustics, etc. We will dive into the world of architecture where we will learn about the design process, 2D architectural drawings, and 3D architectural modeling to communicate our ideas.
