About This Activity
This class will teach concepts behind augmented reality technology to create a digital artwork that interacts with the physical world around you, using a mobile device. Students will learn how to use the free tool of Meta Spark AR Studio, a software for building and publishing digital artworks, to build a unique digital collage, then activate it using the accessible application of Instagram to engage with any flat surface. Viewers can walk around the augmented artwork, record, and share with others. These artworks will be published on an Instagram account (TBD Future Arts/ Coyote/ or a private account just for the class) and can be opened using a QR code or directly within the Instagram platform. They will be built using a computer, you do not need your own mobile device to view the filters during the class. A mobile device will be available in the classroom to test the artworks through Instagram. Teaching Artist: Athr + Future Arts
