About This Activity
Hz Harmony Lab - Welcome Music Scientists! For one musical week, kids will explore the science behind their favorite songs through hands-on activities, from creating their own instruments, and using rhythm and sound to create their own thunderstorm, to learning about sound waves and how that makes instruments and our voices sound different. Each day is filled with music, creativity, investigation, and musical crafts and activities that turn musicians into scientists! Teacher: Abby Van Velson is a musician and educator who loves to learn how music and science work together. In her free time, she loves reading, drinking coffee, and spending time with her dog, Molly Bean.
