About This Activity

In this fun filled class we will learn about the history of rockets from ancient times to today. We will do experiments to show thrust, using water, air and finally solid rocket motors! During the week you will learn how rockets work, you will also learn about launch sequences and range safety. At the end of the week, you will get to build your own rocket and blast it off!! Students will be transported to the National Guard Museum. *Off Campus Travel Permission Required* Teacher: Jerry Meyer - Nebraska National Guard Historian and former Columbus High School History teacher and Founder of the Andrew Jackson Higgins National Memorial
