Important note: Attendance at all course meetings is mandatory due to the condensed nature of summer school courses. Missing a day of summer school class is the equivalent of missing a week of classes during the school year. Credit will not be given to students who miss summer school classes. PE 100/101 is required for all freshmen. In this course, students will engage in Adventure Learning, Fitness, and Lifetime Activities. The Adventure Learning curriculum develops problem solving, team/community building, leadership and communication skills through ground activities & challenges, low and high element climbing activities. A swim test will be conducted to determine the safety and competence of the student when in the water. All students are required to pass the swim test. The health and wellness curriculum is designed to prepare students to better understand their own health choices. In discussions highlighting important issues and incorporating current research, students discover the implications of choices made, not only on a day-to-day basis, but also with potential lifetime benefits and consequences. Full day camps include hot lunch!
