This course is designed to train responders to safely extricate victims from common passenger vehicles, focusing on stabilizing the vehicle, creating access/egress, and removing patients using hand and hydraulic tools, following NFPA standards for incidents on wheels, sides, or roofs, and emphasizing rescuer/patient safety. This role involves systematic scene size-up, hazard mitigation, and advanced problem-solving with various equipment. Meets or exceeds National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1006 standards. This course is IFSAC eligible.
