The Mountain Bike Instructor-in-Training Camp is a comprehensive 5-day program designed for teenagers aged 14-18 who are passionate about mountain biking and interested in a path to becoming certified skills instructors. This immersive camp combines mountain bike skills training, leadership development, and team-building activities to prepare participants for future roles as mountain bike instructors. Great for any teen who is on a cycling team, wants to be a team leader, or will be a team captain. Highlights • Day 1: Introduction to Mountain Biking and Leadership • Day 2: Intermediate Skills Development • Day 3: Advanced Skills and Teaching Techniques • Day 4: Leadership and Teaching Practice • Day 5: Certification Prep and Culminating Event The Mountain Bike Instructor-in-Training Camp provides teenagers aged 14-16 with a unique opportunity to develop their mountain biking skills, leadership abilities, and teaching techniques in a supportive and engaging environment. By the end of the camp, participants will have gained valuable experience and confidence to pursue certification as mountain bike skills instructors, while also fostering a deeper appreciation for teamwork, leadership, and outdoor adventure. • Bikes: A Mountain Bike is needed, but your child does not need to own their own bike. Campers can rent an appropriate bike from The Line. If Campers are bringing their own bike, it needs to be in safe working order. Please bring the bike into the Line prior to the camp for a complimentary safety check. • Gear Up: Mountain Bike, helmet, sunglasses, protective gear, notebook and pen/pencil, snacks, weather appropriate active clothing. • Campers should bring snacks and a water bottle. We will provide snacks and a water jug to refill bottles.
