Chair yoga is perfect for older adults or those seeking low-impact movement. The yoga postures are adapted to be performed while seated or standing using a chair as a prop for balance and stability. The class will guide you through mindful breathing, gentle stretches, balance work, and relaxation techniques to improve your flexibility, mobility, posture, and overall well-being. The mission of Yoga in Action (YiA) is to ensure all people have access to the therapeutic benefits of yoga regardless of social, physical, and financial barriers. Established in 2012 on the Seacoast, YiA has grown over the years to offer 873 classes a year, benefitting more than 375 individuals annually, many of whom have been impacted by cancer, disability, addiction, trauma, and financial hardship.
