Strive Summer Camp - August 31-September 4 Strive Summer Camp provides children with an unforgettable week of sports, learning, and fun in a positive, energetic environment. Led by John Jay FC Director of Coaching and former Physical Education teacher of seven years, Gareth Horrocks, camp focuses on building confidence, developing athletic skills, and creating a lifelong love of sport. Campers are grouped by age and ability and enjoy a variety of activities including soccer, kickball, relay races, backyard games and team challenges. Every day is designed to improve coordination, teamwork, movement skills, and decision-making through fun, game-based activities. What to Expect A variety of different sports Skill development and movement-based games Team challenges and fun competitions Small-sided games and scrimmages A week-long Camp Cup rewarding effort, teamwork, and attitude Regular hydration breaks in a safe, supportive environment Camp Options Half Day (9:00am–12:00pm) A fun-filled morning of sports, games, and activities with a snack and hydration break around 10:30am. Full Day (9:00am–4:00pm) Includes the morning program, lunch from 12:00–1:00pm, plus an afternoon of tournaments, team games, challenges, and more. Snack and hydration break at approximately 2:30pm. Every camper leaves with new skills, greater confidence, new friendships, and lasting summer memories.
