About This Activity
Calling all storytellers, poets, and big imaginations! This Young Writers’ Workshop is designed especially for middle school students who love to create—or want to discover that they do. Students will learn how to build unforgettable characters, craft exciting plots, explore different genres, and learn how to revise like real authors. Through fun writing games, creative challenges, and supportive peer sharing, campers will grow in confidence while developing the skills to bring their ideas to life. No experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to try. Whether your student dreams of writing novels, graphic stories, songs, or simply wants to feel more confident in school writing, this camp provides a safe, encouraging space to grow. N.B.: This class is not designed for remedial writing help but rather to foster creative writers!
