About This Activity
Club Scientific's Robotics Program uses LEGO Robotics Kits and emphasizes a mixture of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and problem solving to keep students engaged in the learning process. Students will learn about mechanisms and coding as they build, program, and solve new problems each week with their classmates! In the 2024-25 school year, we will be using the Lego Spike Essentials robotics kits! We invest in a separate robotics kit for each student, so everyone can create and code their own robots! These robotics kits contain over 400 pieces each, and can be programmed using a visual block-based coding system, or a more advanced Scratch-based coding system. Over the course of the session, students will get experience in both types of coding and build a new robot each week! **Exact dates of Robotics classes differ by school and day of the week, depending on school holidays.
