About This Activity

*PLEASE NOTE - Due to high demand, we offer Club Sci at POA on both Thursdays and Fridays, but the curriculum is the same for both classes each week. Both the Thursday and Friday classes will do the same projects each week, so please do not sign up your child for both classes. Club Scientific lessons help engage students in observation, measurement, identification of properties, and experimentation involving life, earth, and physical science concepts. Science was never this much fun! **Exact dates of Club Scientific classes differ by school and day of the week, depending on school holidays. Visit our website or check your confirmation email after enrollment for the Class Calendar schedule for your child's class.** Spring Session Description: Over the course of this session, students will explore various scientific topics including but not limited to: chemistry, physics, biology, and more! The session will be split up into the following three themed units: Colorful Chemistry: Potions, bubbling mixtures, and colorful reactions! The first Unit of our Spring Session is sure to excite as we learn the science behind the colors we see and experience every day! Students will perform experiments in acid-base chemistry, color-mixing, color-changing dyes, and more! Physics Factory: It doesn’t take an apple falling on your head to learn something about physics! All it takes is a watchful eye, and the willingness to experiment! In this Unit, we will perform experiments on gravity, material strength, and even the science of flight! Incredible Critters: Whether it’s pollinating our plants, making honey, or creating a cocoon, the little creatures under our feet do some pretty incredible things! In our final Unit of the school year, students will learn about how bugs and insects are essential to our environment, along with learning a bit about their unique and awesome abilities!
