About This Activity
Club Scientific's Robotics Program uses LEGO Robotics Kits and emphasizes a mixture of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and problem solving to keep students engaged in the learning process. Students will learn about mechanisms and coding as they build, program, and solve new problems each week with their classmates! We will be using the Lego Spike Prime robotics kits! We invest in a separate robotics kit for each student, so everyone can create and code their own robots! These robotics kits contain over 600 pieces each and can be programmed using a visual block-based coding system, or a more advanced python-based coding system. Over the course of the session, students will get experience in both types of coding and build a new robot each week! This is our more advanced class and is restricted to students in 4th grade or above. It is HIGHLY recommended that students joining this class have had experience with robotics in the past. **Exact dates of Robotics classes differ by school and day of the week, depending on school holidays.
