Campers will explore movies as stories by watching short, age-appropriate clips from various family friendly movies and talking about characters, setting, and mood. Campers will learn how filmmakers use images, sound, and movement to tell a story, then practice turning “movie moments” into their own written scenes and character sketches. Through guided discussion and fun mini-lessons, students will build skills in observation, inference, and creative writing. By the end of the week, each child will have a small portfolio of original pieces inspired by the films they’ve viewed together. This camp needs a minimum of 5. You will be notified 30 prior to the camp if the minimum is not met at which time you can choose another camp or get a refund.
