About This Activity
Maia Newton has run several art camps and has been teaching visual art to people ages 5-95 years of age for the last 20 years! She is also our PGIA Arts Teacher. Our youngest students will work on fine motor skills through art making; beading, crayon and watercolor paintings, making folded "Surprise!" face drawings, cutting and gluing paper shapes to make cityscapes with colored paper, lastly, children will be creating beautiful papers with childrens markers and crayon before tracing simple shapes,cutting and gluing their pretty papers onto white paper to illustrate their interpretation of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."
