About This Activity
Young Mariners provides middle schoolers going into grades 6-9 a unique combination of sailing, science and youth development both on the water and on the shore of the Long Island Sound. Young Mariners sparks creativity and curiosity through experiential project-based learning while providing students with a safe, caring community and the chance for your camper to step out of their comfort zone in a supportive environment. Students develop the skills to be a positive member and leader of a community which they can apply as they return to school. This three week session includes sailing, marine science exploration, artistic expression and creativity, character development and social emotional learning skills, and lots of fun in the sun with friends.
