Students will explore the medium of games and player experience through the creation and analysis of both tabletop and digital games. They will gain hands-on experience with constructing tabletop games, and then learn to program and design digital games using basic programming concepts within a professional game engine (Construct 3). Students will work both collaboratively and individually to design, test, and develop each project. They will incorporate their own design choices to personalize the player experiences. Continued work on the digital game is possible using the free version of Construct 3 (web-based). Students will need to bring their own Laptops. Physical components for board games can be resourced through the Innovation Lab.
