Idaho Backcountry Ski Camp for Girls Introduction to backcountry skiing and avalanche awareness education in the beautiful Sawtooth Mountain Range. The camp will include an all-female professional guide team, outdoor leadership, and education on backcountry fundamentals. Dates: March 24-27, 2022 Arrival Day: March 24th Departure Day: March 27th, 2021 Cost: $1,350.00 Includes lodging, transportation, and meals. Details Overnight lodging in Stanley, ID at the base of the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains. Three nutritional meals a day plus snacks for our fun full days in the mountains ski touring. Transportation to and from our lodging and objectives in the Sawtooths each day. Ski touring, how to use our equipment, uphill techniques, pacing, layering, and route selection. Avalanche awareness including terrain management and basic companion rescue strategies. Fun with the girls and a fully female staff, in a safe, fulfilling environment, where confident decision-making and teamwork are encouraged. Equipment Campers will have the option to use Keely’s Camp backcountry setup. Our setup includes Blizzard Zero G skis with Marker King pin bindings and skins. Campers will need to bring their own backcountry ski boots. Campers using Keely’s Camp backcountry setups please come to camp with ski boots compatible with Marker King Pin bindings.
