CLASS DESCRIPTION Join the Tread of Pioneers Museum’s Pioneer Life Culture Camp and discover the ways of life of early settlers and homesteading. Explore the museum and artifacts to discover the history, crafts, and realities of the daily life of Routt County pioneers in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Kids will gain insight into Colorado and Routt County’s rich history of westward settlement by creating beautiful rag rugs, candles, quilts, leather stamped and crocheted items, and more. We will also bake pioneer recipes and learn how to churn butter by hand.
