About This Activity
Have fun learning Python or Block Coding using a virtual VEX IQ Robot! Choose the style of coding you want to learn, and move through the exercises with our teacher ready to instruct and assist. Whether you have used VEX IQ Robotics before in-person or not, Virtual VEX IQ Robotics is an exciting way to learn to code! Because we spend no time building our robots, we focus completely on programming the robots to achieve different tasks. The virtual robot will be equipped with any motors, sensors and gears it needs to complete the tasks - you have to program it to work, though! Pay as you go - $20 per week, auto-pay only. Cancel anytime to stop auto-pay. When attendance drops to below 3, the club will be cancelled. See our webpage for detailed information. You will need: - A device for your Microsoft Teams video conferencing (so you can see the instructor while you work) and access to a Chromebook, Windows, Mac computer, iPad or other tablet with a supported operating system. -We do not recommend using a phone for the virtual robotics. The screen will be too small. -Some people like to use two devices so they can watch the instructor AND work on their projects. With this option, shut off both the microphone and speakers on one of the devices in order to prevent feedback. Our club virtual sessions may be recorded for internal purposes only and will not be shared publicly.
