Taught by Zoo educators, classes include hands-on activities, discussion, animal encounters and behind-the-scenes experiences. Each program includes progressive program topics focused on teaching students about working with Zoo animals and what paths to take in order to work at the Zoo one day! The Zoo’s conservation team has a really important job protecting native wildlife such as Blanding’s turtles, wood turtles and various species of salamanders. Another really important aspect of their job that we don’t talk about very often is their work to plant wildflowers and otherwise help to take care of various plants. Please note, this standalone session is in-person and held on-site at the zoo. Parent/guardian attendance is not permitted.
