About This Activity
Affectionately known as AP boating, you will expand on the skills acquired in basic safe powerboating. Plan and navigate short trips to practical locations like Sandy Point Island, Pawcatuck River, and Napatree. Gain comfort and competency with shallow water navigation, how to anchor and safely land near a beach, and docking in different types of areas. Use charts, compasses, and GPS to determine position. Includes: navigation, planning and practical boat handling Prerequisites: NESS Boater's Ed and/or CT CPWO.
