About This Activity

All aboard the HMS Beagle to uncover the story of life through time! Explore remote locations of Long Island Sound and investigate how marine animals evolved and adapted to changing environments. Collect and observe local species, see how animals have changed over time, and examine living fossils such as sturgeons, turtles, and horseshoe crabs to understand how they’ve survived for millions of years. Create your own fossils, test your species’ ability to survive past and future climate challenges, and see evolution in action through hands-on exploration. Includes: boat trips, species collection, fossil creation, and snorkeling.
