About This Activity
Serac attack! Carving, twisting, melting, careening. The flow of water cannot be stopped! Follow the flood and explore how the icy glaciers of our Earth drip and melt, forming seracs, crevasses, feeding streams and lakes, surging into the sea. Conduct experiments to see how the coldest parts of our Earth can change even the hottest latitudes. Snorkel and kayak your way through Stonington Harbor while searching for evidence of fresh water, and model and share the ways these seracs can rush thousands of miles, to you! Includes: snorkeling, kayaking, glacier experiments/models, and water quality collection.
