About This Activity
This program is for children who are 5 to 10 years old, and it takes place at Robert Cotton Park. Join us as we marvel at the fun and beauty of spring! Activities are weather dependent but may include exploring the forests, beach, and trails of the park, building forts and survival shelters, creating art with nature, playing games, swinging in hammocks, learning about what animals and ecosystems are doing in the spring, having a bonfire, and more! We will spend most of the day outside, but have access to indoor space if there is severe weather, or to have quiet time if it is raining outside. *Please note that full-day spring programs require a LOT of sustained energy (more than a summer program), so please consider whether it is the right fit for your child :) **Please dress your child in lots of warm layers including a base layer, rain pants and rain jacket if applicable (even if it's not raining, this can help keep kids warm and block the wind), warm waterproof boots, a warm sweater, hat, and gloves or mittens. ***What to pack: a full change of clothes, multiple pairs of socks, multiple pairs of gloves/mittens, a hearty lunch, morning and afternoon snacks, and a water bottle. Items for quiet time (book, stuffy, blanket, indoor shoes) are optional, and we are not responsible for lost or damaged items, so please send them at your discretion. We can put extra items inside the building if they are in a separate bag.
