About This Activity
This program is for children who are 5 to 11 years old, and it takes place at Robert Cotton Park. We will pick up the children from Glen Stewart Primary and Stratford Elementary and walk to Robert Cotton Park. Join us as we marvel at the fun and beauty of winter! Activities are weather dependent but may include sledding, building snow forts and survival shelters, creating art with nature, playing games, swinging in hammocks, exploring the forest, learning about what animals and ecosystems are doing in the winter, having a bonfire, and more! We will spend most of the day outside, but have access to indoor space if there is severe weather or extreme cold. *Please send your child with an extra set of snacks for after school, and consider labelling them "Wild Child" so they know to save it for after school. Please also send them with extra pairs of thick socks, and extra mittens. **Please dress your child in lots of warm layers including a base layer, snow pants, thick socks (not a double layer of cotton socks), warm sweaters, a winter jacket, warm insulated and waterproof boots, a hat, neck warmer, and mittens!
