About This Activity
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A CAMP FOR TRANS AND GENDER-DIVERSE/GENDER-CREATIVE CHILDREN (AND THEIR SIBLINGS). Join us for a week of adventure and fun with Wild Child! This is a program run by LGBTQ+ and ally staff who strive to create a comfortable environment and supportive community, where kids can build confidence, make new friends, and are free to be themselves. (Sign up for the waitlist and we will contact you to confirm your attendance!) Join us this summer as we explore and play in the great outdoors! We will play games, create nature art, explore the natural spaces of the park (forests, beach, pond, etc), build forts and climb trees, enjoy our Wild Child garden, learn bushcraft skills and tool use, and learn about the plants, bugs, animals, and more that call the park their home. This day camp is run using Forest School principles of child-led, free play, inquiry-based programming. This site has an indoor washroom facility and water bottle refill station available. Please send your child with a backpack including a full change of clothes, a hearty lunch, a water bottle, and snacks for the morning and afternoon. We are outside all day, rain or shine, so please dress your kids appropriately for the weather! ***Please Note: There will be no Program on July 1, this camp will run from June 30 Monday, Wednesday, July 2, Thursday July 3, and Friday, July 4th. This is a 4 Day Camp.
