Please note this camp week is at the Duck Pond Conservation Area to the west of Downtown Summerside! The address above is for a building across the street from the greenspace and trails; please meet us at the parking lot attached to the greenspace. (Sign up for the waitlist to be considered in this session's lottery!) Join us this summer as we explore and play in the great outdoors! We will play games, create nature art, explore the natural spaces of the park (forests, beach, pond, etc), build forts and climb trees, learn bushcraft skills and tool use, and learn about the plants, bugs, animals, and more that call the park their home. This day camp is run using Forest School principles of child-led, free play, inquiry-based programming. This program is designed for ages 5-10 at this site there is no indoor space or washrooms, we will have a camping toilet, privacy tent, and extra water with us. Please send your child with a backpack including a full change of clothes, a hearty lunch, a water bottle, and snacks for the morning and afternoon. We are outside all day, rain or shine, so please dress your kids appropriately for the weather! ***Please note, in case of severe weather, as we have no access to indoor space, we will have to call caregivers to come for an early pickup if it is dangerous to remain at the park.
