About This Activity
Engineering visibly impacts our day-to-day lives in the technology we use, the transportation we take, the medical systems we navigate, and even the food we eat! Gain an introductory overview of the innovative world of engineering through projects, experiments, and lots of fun hands-on learning! Whether you have already set your sights on your future engineering university degree or are just curious about how the world works, you’ll figure out how to integrate problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity that you’ll need in the future to tackle complex problems. Come learn about the engineering process and create amazing final projects! Join this program if you’re interested in exploring engineering. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and willingness to learn. Have fun and discover how engineering makes a difference every day! This program is intended for participants entering Grades 8 and 9 in September 2025. NOTE: The same themes at the same grade level will contain the same content across all weeks. For example, Maker 2/3 (Week 1) will contain the same material as Maker 2/3 (Week 7).
