In On Stage: Spotlight, everyone is a star! This year, we will be tackling material from Stephen Schwartz’s Wicked! Our two-week camp is designed to allow students the opportunity to dive into performance and design/construction aspects of theatre by working on an abridged production. Students will perform several musical numbers with corresponding scene work from Wicked (Act 1). We’ll start each day with physical, vocal, imagination focus building warm-ups. Here’s what we’ll be doing:

  • creating & developing characters
  • rehearsing scenes/songs
  • blocking/choreographing musical numbers
  • learning music
  • set work and scene painting
  • constructing props and costumes
  • playing drama games
  • getting to know the theatre space and theatre terminology
Our goal is to ensure every camper spends plenty of time on stage, is fully engaged in the creative process, and takes pride in their work. Campers will have the opportunity to audition for individual roles and perform in group numbers, making the experience as inclusive and collaborative as possible. On Stage: Spotlight Camp will end with a showcase performance on Friday, July 10th! There will be no camp on Friday, July 3rd.
A $40 materials fee is due on the first day of camp to cover set materials, props, craft supplies, costumes, music purchase, lyrics & script. Campers will get to keep some of their costume pieces and set/prop creations. While our emphasis is on the creative process rather than the final product, our audiences are always delighted by what we bring to the stage. Join us for an unforgettable theatrical experience!
Paperwork will need to be completed prior to the first day of camp. Please bring a non-perishable lunch every day.
No camp on Friday, July 3rd.Camp is Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm. No AM or PM care available.

Plus $40 materials fee helps to cover set materials, props, craft supplies, costume supplies, music purchase, lyrics & script.

No camp July 3.

Paperwork will need to be completed prior to the first day of camp. Please bring a non-perishable lunch every day.

All payment plans will be assessed a $25 late fee if payment is received more that 5 days after the due date of June 1. Outstanding balances as of June 15 could result in the child being withdrawn from the program.
